About Our Client
The client reconnects with a long standing presence in Indonesia. Since the 80's, they have gained a deep knowledge of the Indonesian market through several projects in the country: such as the master plan for the gas distribution in Bandung, the combined cycle power plant at Gresik and the hydropower developments at Jatiluhur, Curug and Peusangan to name a few. Marketing and Sales
- Is a seasoned and proven business developer with experience in the development of power projects and with the charisma and character to start, build and maintain strong and effective relationships with key decision makers in the clients companies
- Adopts a consultative approach to the sales process.
- Understands client needs and crafts solutions to meet those.
- Analyses business opportunities and leads the action for business prospecting
- Establishes relationship and works closely with related government authorities and various utilities vendors to accomplish the projects
- Participates in project development with cross-functional team
- Is a team builder who can motivate the team
- Has the charismatic presence of a leader whereby his team willingly extends themselves for the benefit of the company.
- Works in collaborative mode with colleagues based in Belgium, France, Germany, India, Thailand, Philippines mainly. This requires a good level in English and flexibility for integrating competences from different horizons. THEREFORE, ENGLISH (BOTH SPEAKING AND WRITING IS ESSENTIAL)
- Prefers working in a logical, analytical and critical manner.
- Is strong in conceptualizing creative solutions for the client by the integration of innovative company solutions.
- Is able to work simultaneously on a wide variety of business development, operations and strategic projects with ease.
- Prefers challenge working, with the entrepreneur personality.
The Successful Applicant
* University education: Engineering or Applied Economics.
* MBA is a plus.
* Excellent command in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory.
* Knowledge of another Asian language is a plus.
* 15 years relevant working experience of which 7 years experience in international business transactions and project development and management.
* Previous experience in the development of energy projects in Indonesia in general is mandatory
* Experience with technical, financial, economic and legal considerations of business transactions.
* Good knowledge and practical experience in power market (thermal, hydro, solar, bio gas)
* Able to lead Business Development Team consisting of a couple BD Engineer
Competencies * Strong interpersonal and communication skills (report writing and presentation abilities in English).
* Able to work independently will effectively interfacing with other team members
* Track record of ability to work in a multicultural environment and multidisciplinary teams.
* Versatile and teamwork oriented
* Customer oriented.
* In-depth understanding on Indonesian working cultures.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office software.
